INALUM Provides Assistance of 15,000 Tree Seedlings to Support Lake Toba Ecosystem Conservation

Tapanuli Utara, 01 Februari 2024 - PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminum or INALUM supports the reforestation program around Lake Toba by handing over 15,000 tree seedlings to the North Tapanuli District Military Command. This support is provided so that greening around Lake Toba continues and is developed.

INALUM Corporate Secretary Mahyaruddin Ende said that this program was carried out as INALUM's response to the conservation of the Lake Toba ecosystem by reforesting and caring for the environment around the company.

"As a company that is committed to providing company operations that prioritize environmental protection and preventing environmental pollution, this reforestation and tree seedling planting program needs to always be monitored and developed. Planting 15,000 tree seedlings will certainly have a very good impact on the environment," said Mahyaruddin.

The handover of 15,000 tree seedlings to the North Tapanuli Kodim was received directly by Dandim 0210 Taput, namely Lt. Col. Saiful Rizal. All the seeds were taken from the PCD program: Samosir Botanical Nursery and also the PES Nursery program at Rifle Company A Yon 125 Balige which had been successfully implemented previously.

Lt. Col. Saiful Rizal said that the tree seeds given by PT INALUM would be planted and put to good use. It is also hoped that Lake Toba will be greener and more beautiful in the future.

"We from Kodim 0210 North Sumatra would like to express our gratitude for the contribution and assistance from PT INALUM, in order to carry out reforestation around the Lake Toba area. We will plant these tree seeds with the hope that in the future Lake Toba can be greener, and can improve the welfare of the surrounding community. "We, together with INALUM, will always strive to protect and care for the Lake Toba area," said Lt. Col. Saiful Rizal.
