With Mangrove and UMKM Development, INALUM Directly Pushs Tourism Industry in the Batu Bara Coast

Batu Bara, 19 July 2023 - At the beginning of 2023, PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminum (Persero)
or INALUM again collaborated in conducting the revitalization of the Historical Beach
is a program of improvement in the economy of society in Batu Bara Regency,
Sumatera Utatata in the development of Tourism and Conservation of the Beach through the planting
mangrove and the protection of rare animals.

Ali Hasian VP CSR INALUM said the program in this Historical Beach has a positive impact to
the economy of the surrounding community. It looks from its economy that produces
accumulation up to Rp910 million pert year for tourism and giving birth to the new 70 UMKM on the Beach
History with a disposal of Rp 150 - 200 thousand/month.

"There is certainly improving the economy of society in the New District Bara
in building tourism and coastal conversation. The program also builds innovation
with the utilization of environmentally friendly materials as well as the improvement of family economic sources,
such as the development of natural batik, namely mangrove, one of the alternatives

Ali also explains that in addition to the economic value that increases the program at this Historical Beach
i.e. mangrove conservation has succeeded in maintaining an expisting mangrove forest area of 15 ha,

mangrove seedlings to be planted on Jono Beach, Lalang Village and in Asahan Beach. Ecosystem
Mangrove has effective ability in absorbing CO2 to 871,9 Ton CO2/ha/year

Add that income from tourist visits and rides that reach 20 million
week and greater in holidays or 910 million / year. Not only that, Earnings
UMKM businesses involved by 150-200 thousand/week to 70 people and conversion value
carbon economic economy when calculated based on the economic price of 13 USD/TonCO2,
with total 871,9 Ton CO2 per ha.
