Jakarta, Dec 21th 2023 - PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminum Paritohan PLTA Unit wins the PROPER GOLD Awards from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia (KLHK-RI). This award was gifted directly at the Bidakara Hotel Jakarta by the Vice President of Republic Indonesia, Prof. KH. Ma'ruf Amin.
Mahyaruddin Ende as INALUM Corporate Secretary said this achievement are the result of the hard work and collaboration from all INALUM family who had been committed to provided benefits for society and environment.

"The Gold Proper obtained by INALUM's Paritohan PLTA unit this year is the joint hard work of INALUM's people. So far, as a BUMN we are committed to being able to provide sustainable benefits for all stakeholders including society and the environment. Furthermore, we will continue to innovate and hopefully our steps will get support from all parties," said Mahyaruddin.

For the GOLD PROPER achieved by PLTA-INALUM, the company carried out a significant transformation in terms of dam operations and social innovation.
In terms of dam operations, INALUM has succeeded in innovating energy efficiency, managing turbine spare parts, digitizing turbine monitoring, managing B3 and non-B3 waste, as well as making efficient use of water flow. Several of these innovations were carried out as a commitment to the company to produce energy for smelting operations more efficiently.
In other hands, in terms of the environment and society, INALUM was planted trees and at the same time INALUM is taking steps to empowered and developed the Meat Tourism Village on the coast of Lake Toba. In terms of tree planting, INALUM created a "Kehati Program" which succeeded in producing several positive results such as: Increased Productivity of Critical Land, Utilization of Natural Forestry Forests for the Community, and Control of the Hydrology of the Lake Toba Area. For the Meat Village, INALUM is taken steps to empowered various aspects to improved the quality of the Meat Tourism Village both from the tourism aspect and from the waste management and MSME aspects.
In the future, INALUM will continue to prioritize environmental preservation, prioritize social responsibility, maintain effective governance practices, build strong relationships with investors, and submit transparent sustainability reports.
