INALUM Really Prepare for the Sectoral Traffic Collaboration of Demi Lestari and Building the Toba Lake Area

Karo, 8 June 2022 – PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminum (Persero) or PT INALUM (Persero) expressed full commitment and ready to collaborate cross sectoral with all elements of society in order to preserve and preserve the Toba Lake Area in North Sumatra. “PT INALUM (Persero) supports each environmental program as a step to strengthen the economic and ecological ecosystems in Lake Toba Area. Moreover Lake Toba is already appointed as the Super Priority Tourism Destination Area. Therefore, it is necessary to support cross sectors both from the central government, corporate entities, to the public elements to be beneficial for society” said Dany.

SEVP Human Resources and Business Supporter PT INALUM (Persero) Benny Wiwoho in the occasion of speaking states that the progam of planting trees and preservation of Lake Toba Area. According to him, in 2022 this aka tone 308.148 seedlings of trees that will be planted in Lake Toba and the program collaborated with various parties.

“ Plantation of trees is an annual routine program of PT INALUM (Perero) which in 2022, the company planned the planting of trees as much as 308.148 trees consisting of the Tangkapan Water Conservation program (DTA) Lake Toba by INALUM itself 30,000 trees with an area of about 260 Ha and the Natural Resources Managing Services program along PJT1 as much as 178.148 trees with an area of about 445,37 Ha. This commitment is a full support of PT INALUM (Persero) to the Indonesian government program that makes the Toba Lake region as the Super Priority Tourism Destiny.

Sementara, the MIND ID Mining Industry Holding in supporting the preservation of Lake Toba Area has allocated 50,000 seedlings of Macademia. A total of 28,000 seedlings have been spread to 7 districts/Citys including Toba Regency, Simalungun Regency, Humbang Hasundutan Regency, Dairi District, Samosir, Karo Regency, and North Tapanuli Regency. While 28,000 the remaining will be distributed by public groups in 7 districts / cities.

Dany added that the MIND ID Mining Industry Holding has the spirit to realize Noble Purpose namely: For Civilization, For Prosperity, and a Brighter Future. According to him, if Noble Purpose is applied in Toba Lake Area, it will match with national vision through the Ministry of BUMN related to TJSL/CSR BUMN, focuses on the Development of UMKM, Environmental conservation and SDM Enhancement.

“With collaborating between PT INALUM (Persero), Mining Industry Holding, Government, and all elements of society, we are confident that Lake Toba area will be more advanced in terms of economics due to the rise of class from UMKM, increasing the quality of local human resources, and keeps the area of Lake Toba with the preservation of good tree and waste management.
