INALUM Cares Education in 2023, This is a List

North Sumatera, 28 Mei 2024 - PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminum or INALUM throughout 2023 will focus its commitment to educational development on supporting the development of physical educational infrastructure, developing work-ready human resources, and fostering early childhood education.

INALUM Corporate Secretary Mahyaruddin Ende said this commitment was made as a matter of the company's concern for developing basic human resources around the company, especially in the early age range and SMA/SMK skills.

"INALUM is committed to developing human resources around the company in the early age range and high school/vocational school skills. Some of these programs are carried out in collaboration with various community groups. "Of course in the future we ask for support from various parties and thank them for supporting and collaborating together in improving community human resources," said Mahyaruddin.

In 2023, the focus of INALUM's TJSL distribution will be in the fields of Education, Environment and MSMEs. Specifically for education, there are three groups of assistance delivered by INALUM to the community, namely: Repair of Educational Buildings and Facilities, Industrial Scholarships, and Early Childhood Development.

This school infrastructure improvement program is based on the fact that there are still many schools around the Company whose educational facilities and infrastructure are inadequate. Where School Operational Assistance (BOS) funds have not been able to accommodate all school facilities and infrastructure needs. This program aims to build/renovate/repair school buildings so that they are suitable and comfortable for learning and teaching activities. And, it is hoped that it can provide positive beneficial impacts in the form of teaching and learning activities becoming more comfortable and safe and educational facilities and infrastructure becoming more usable. During 2023, at least 25 schools will receive assistance to improve the comfort of teaching and learning.

Meanwhile for scholarships, in 2023, there will be as many as 100 scholarship recipients. Scholarship recipients are students who have financial limitations who are selected through internal selection carried out by INALUM. The scholarship recipients are students studying at the University of North Sumatra, Medan State University and North Sumatra State Islamic University from 10 (ten) cities/districts which are included in the main work area of ​​TJSL INALUM. The implementation of the series of undergraduate scholarship programs is the result of synergy with several strategic partners, namely the Karya Salemba Empat Foundation (KSE), the North Sumatra University KSE Association, the Medan State University KSE Association, and the North Sumatra State Islamic University KSE Association.

This TJSL program is present as a concrete manifestation of INALUM's attention to the community and environment around the Company. In accordance with the mandate from shareholders, the Company is currently focused on improving the economy, improving the quality of education, and contributing to environmental sustainability. Continuous commitment to implementing TJSL that is right on target is one of the embodiments of the Company's long-term mission and strategy, this is in line with the objectives of TJSL itself, that apart from providing benefits to society and the environment, we also interpret TJSL as protecting the Company's business, which is of course in In practice, we hope that with TJSL we will get support from the community so that the Company's operations and business can run from time to time.
