INALUM Conducts Disaster Mitigation Socialization around the Company

Batu Bara, 30 Mei 2024 -  PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminum or INALUM in collaboration with the Batu Bara Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) held Socialization and Mitigation of disaster-prone villages in Batu Bara Regency. This activity was carried out as a form of company concern so that the community could anticipate natural disasters, especially floods which often occur in Kuala Indah Village. 

INALUM Corporate Secretary Mahyaruddin Ende said that this collaboration program was the company's commitment to helping the community to recognize and mitigate natural disasters, especially those around the company. He thanked all parties who had worked together to provide disaster education to elements of society. 

"We at INALUM would like to express our gratitude to the community and BPBD Batu Bara who have jointly shown their concern for the disaster around us. "Hopefully this educational outreach can give us greater awareness and awareness of disaster mitigation," said Mahyaruddin.

BPBD would like to express its gratitude for the support of INALUM which regularly every year fully supports this activity. It is hoped that in the future the company can also contribute in the procurement of rubber boats and emeSocialization activities were carried out at the Kuala Indah Village Office, Batu Bara Regency. From this socialization, it is hoped that with knowledge regarding disaster mitigation, the community will be able to minimize losses that occur due to natural disasters, apart from that, the community is also expected to be able to help BPBD to carry out evacuations and take quick response actions that are needed if a disaster occurs at any time. 

This activity was attended by the Head of BPBD Batu Bara, VP CSR INALUM, Head of Kuala Indah Village, Village Officials and the Kuala Indah Village Community. Apart from socializing and conducting flood response simulations, BPBD and INALUM  also install disaster-prone signs/signs, evacuation routes, and determine gathering points when a disaster occurs.
