Batu Bara, 10 Mei 2024 - PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminum or INALUM supports land fisheries cultivation using independent energy from solar power plants. This program is in line with INALUM's vision of creating a circular economy around companies that are sustainable and use green energy.

INALUM Corporate Secretary Mahyaruddin Ende said that this program was a collaboration between INALUM and community groups as a step for the company to increase the benefits of the area around its operations.
"This Land Fisheries PLTS program is a collaboration between INALUM and the surrounding community with the aim of social improvement with the encouragement of renewable energy. We hope that this program can continue and provide sustainable benefits for the community," said Mahyaruddin.
The PLTS Land Fisheries Program is carried out in Hamlet 1 PantaiHistory, Perupuk Village, Batu Bara Regency. This collaboration succeeded in providing 6 Biofloc ponds with a diameter of 3 meters, cultivating 3000 catfish and 2500 tilapia. Apart from that, the solar power plant (PLTS) with a capacity of 2750 Watt is capable of powering water pumps, lights and aerators.

Meanwhile, for fisheries water sources, this program uses 2-point drilled wells and water tank towers for water supply. This program also plants citronella next to land fisheries, pond waste water is used to fertilize citronella.

The Inland Fisheries PLTS program is one of INALUM's sustainable programs in order to prioritize environmental preservation, prioritize social responsibility, maintain effective governance practices, build strong relationships with investors, and submit transparent sustainability reports.
