INALUM Consistent Encourage the Economic Growth of the North Sumatran Village through BABE LUCU Program

Batu Bara, 19 July 2023 –All began in 2020, PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminum
or INALUM inaugurating the Binaan BABE LUCU Village Program or New Bara Bersama Lubuk
Cuik in Lubuk Cuik Village, Five Puluh Pes comb District, Bara Stone District. Program
is one of the community's economy improvement programs in Kab. Batu Bara
through Swasembada Cabai and the people's independence around the company.

Ali Hasian VP CSR INALUM said almost three years this program runs making a capian
program performance in Lubuk Cuik village continues to increase. It looks from the income of
local farmers that generate economic accumulations up to Rp42,6 billion per year and
supporting economic productive activity more than 400 chili farmers.

" This BABE LUCU program turns out to prove to increase local farmers' income
which is dominated by chili farmers. There is also a variety of new innovations
of chili processed such as the development of new products with dry chili base materials such as
sauce products and chili abon."

 

Ali also explains that in addition to the increasing economic value of this BABE LUCU program
creates 34 Ha productive land of 40% with a claim value of 20% irrigation with the value of
Rp3,4 billion/year. Not only that, the program also created the development of land
recently 6.8Ha planted new land for 3 years or reached 50% .Ha annual farm,
with 550 million/year value and total economic value of 85 Ha land created Rp42,6
Miliar/year.

Adds that during this program runs, Lubuk Cuik Village get the optimal
technical irrigation so that it is able to deliver efficiency and optimization of the use of the surface water
(water river). Then, the economically valued chili farm encourages to keep
maintaining a productive farmland and so that it has economic and social reasons in holding the conversion rate from the farmland to the construction of the housing or plantation
which further provides degradative impact.

Ali hopes that this BABE LUCU program can help Lubuk Cuik
people face this difficult situation, moreover the unenforceable chili price. "I am optimistic with
this program, the surrounding community can continue to progress and develop, so it can be
to do innovation - new innovations with its harvesting results. We also contribute to the
BABE LUCU program by involving our SDM, such as irrigation workman who see
civil parts and product promotions involving the media and humas team."
