Humbang Hasundutan, 27 Maret 2024 – PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminum or INALUM provided educational assistance to student victims of the Bandang and Longsong Flood Disasters that occurred in Humbang Hasundutan. This assistance is the company's step in easing the post-disaster burden on the affected victims.
INALUM Corporate Secretary Mahyaruddin Ende stated that it is hoped that this assistance will continue to make it easier for students who are affected to continue their education and easier to carry out post-disaster activities.
"It is hoped that this assistance can be a form of assistance for students so that they can return to carrying out their learning activities with more focus and hopefully it will be easier after the disaster. "We also hope that all affected victims can recover quickly and return to their normal activities," said Mahyaruddin.

The assistance was provided on March 25 2024, at the Education Service Office. The assistance was received by the Regent of Humbang Hasundutan, represented by Acting. Humbang Hasundutan Regional Secretary (Mr. Christison Marbun) and accompanied by the Head of the Education Service, Head of the Social Service, Head of the Communication and Information Service, Baktiraja Subdistrict Head and Simangulampe Village Head and the assistance was received directly by students and student representatives.
For your information, this assistance is INALUM's continued assistance as the company's quick response in post-natural disaster recovery. The Flash Flood and Landslide disaster occurred on December 1 2023. On December 2 2023 at 22:30 WIB, INALUM assistance was handed over directly to the Humbang Hasundutan Regency Government through Acting. Regional Secretary Humbang Hasundutan was accompanied by the Baktiraja District Government at the Baktiraja District office which is an emergency evacuation post and public kitchen.
The assistance provided by INALUM to victims affected by the natural disaster was 500 kg of rice, 50 kg of granulated sugar, 50 kg of cooking oil, 50 boxes of instant noodles, 50 eggs/1500 eggs and 10 kg of salt which was used for public kitchens.
