INALUM Conducts K3 Expert Height Training for Youth around the Kuala Tanjung Smelter

Batu Bara, September 14th, 2023 – PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminum or INALUM conducted K3 Occupational Health and Safety (K3) Height Expert training for young people around the smelting factory. This program is INALUM's commitment to providing training and improving human resources around the company in accordance with the Sustainability Development Goal's 2030.

INALUM Corporate Secretary Mahyaruddin Ende said that the company consistently increases human resources around the company as the company's responsibility to provide benefits to society. He hopes that this training can create new, young and well-trained K3 Altitude experts.

"We are providing this training as a company effort to improve HR competency in terms of K3 at Height. We hope that with this training, trained human resources will have wider opportunities to work in Indonesia," said Mahyaruddin.

This training was carried out by INALUM due to the low level of competency of human resources in the field of K-3 height experts, while this competency is really needed in the industrial world, therefore the K3 Height training was carried out in collaboration with the Indonesian Technical Personnel Association (ASTTI) North Sumatra. Training will be held from September 9 2023 to September 15 2023.

The requirements for participants are a minimum of D3 education, physically and mentally healthy, and not afraid of heights. In this program, the facilities that participants receive include; Height K3 Expert Material, Installation and Safety Practicum for Using Scaffolding, Safety Helmets, Safety Clothes and Vests, Safety Shoes and Gloves. After training for approximately 5 days with ASTTI North Sumatra, all participants will be tested by assessors to obtain an K3 expert certificate from BNSP.
