Kardwiyana Ukar is a senior bureaucrat with a strong professional track record in law, government governance, and public policy. Born in Bandung in 1973, he graduated from the Faculty of Law at Padjadjaran University and earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from the University of Melbourne, Australia.
For more than two decades, he has served in the Secretariat of the Cabinet of the Republic of Indonesia, holding various strategic positions including Assistant Deputy for Domestic Political Affairs, Assistant Deputy for Domestic Government Affairs, Expert Staff to the Cabinet Secretary for Communications, and Deputy for Cabinet Work Support and Deputy for Cabinet Sessions. His involvement in national forums such as the Presidential and Vice-Presidential Transition Committees for the 2019–2024 and 2024–2029 periods, as well as the Secretariat of the Cabinet’s Working Meeting Committee, demonstrates his active contribution to the establishment of effective and responsive government governance.
Throughout his career, he has been honored with numerous accolades, including state awards such as the Satyalancana Wira Karya, Satyalancana Karya Satya XX, and Satyalancana Karya Satya X, bestowed by the President of the Republic of Indonesia. His presence on INALUM’s Board of Commissioners provides robust and comprehensive oversight across legal, regulatory, and public policy domains.Currently, he also serves as a Member of the Nomination, Remuneration, Risk Monitoring and GCG Committee (NRPRGCG).
